I like it

Hey, saw your tutorial on DA, and thought I'd check your music out. This is good stuff. Yeah it does feel a bit locked into a grid, partly because the percussion stays the same most of the song, bit its still good. I think it needs a bit more tweaking in the mixer to make it sound as if im in the same room as the sound (know what I mean? Like crystal clear, playing in my head, not through my headphones).

I would like to make music like this, hopefully I'll get there someday.

Good stuff

If you were to split up the song into sections depending on the melody or how that part sounds, they would all sound great. But the song as a whole, all those parts put together, is not as strong as it could be. As far as how each element of the song sounds (bass, wobble, etc) it all sounds really good, much much better than your Cloak+Swagger song. The improvement from that to this, is enough for me to say that your next song is going to be great.

Well thanks man! I really appreciate the feedback. I guess I'm officially going on a dubstep binge then. I usually do classical and jazz (for college) and this isn't my normal area of expertise, but if you really think I'm heading in the right direction, I gotta say I might as well keep at it. I'm gonna keep all of your advice from the last two songs in mind too. But yeah thanks man. the criticism means a lot.

Good

I agree with blackops35, but to a lesser extent.
Make it more powerful, the drop heavier, and it over all a bit more in your face I guess. It's really good though, its got a nice beat and rhythm, and the voice parts are interesting.

Who knows, all it might need is a little tweaking in the mixer to take this from 7/10 stars to 20/10 stars.

Cool

I recognize that kick (or whatever, from the beat.) from FL Studio right? Sounds like the one that is provided with it.

It actually isn't. You might want to listen to it again.

Thanks for playing though.

Surprising

Pretty damn good, better than most dubstep here. Really punchy, but some parts I think it could have been a bit less broken up.

How long did it take you to learn how to use Reason? I have FL Studio, but I find pretty much all audio applications pretty hard to make music with. And theres not really any tutorials that I could find for music like this.
